Road closures in Sutherland and Ross-shire

Several road closures are required for Network Rail, British Telecom and Muir of Ord Gala.

Network Rail maintenance works will require the U3103 Dunrobin Glen Road for 100m either side of Golspie Tower Rail Bridge to be closed from 08:00 on Monday 01/07/2019 until 22:00 on Wednesday 10/07/2019

To avoid the road closure an alternative route will be available via - U3116 Sibell Road, A9 Trunk Road, U3140 Nursery Road and the U3166 Backies Road.

To allow British Telecom Engineers to work safely in an underground structure, all traffic apart from emergency services will be prohibited from a section of the U1891 Kildary-Brenachie Road from the entrance to the property know as ‘Morven' to a point northward of the property known as ‘White Lodge' for a distance of around 200 metres.

This road closure will come into force at 09.30 on Monday 29th July 2019 and will remain in effect until 15:30 on Wednesday 31st July 2019.

An alternative route will be available via the C1059 Pitmaduthie - Heathmount - Tain Road - U1885 Newfield Logie Road - A9(Trunk) and this will be signed. Pedestrian and emergency access will always be maintained.

Muir of Ord Gala will also require a road closure of the A862 Ardullie - Dingwall - Beauly - Inverness Road commencing at its junction with the A832 Cromarty - Fortrose - Tore - Muir - Ord - Moy Bridge Road and extending southwards to its junction with the U3001 Tarradale Gardens, for approximately 450m from 18:00 on Saturday 27th July 2019 and will remain in force until 20:30 on the same day. Pedestrian and emergency access will always be maintained.

An alternative route will be available via the B9169 Muir of Ord - Leanaig - Culbokie - Shoreton Road & the A832 Cromarty - Fortrose - Tore - Muir - Ord - Moy Bridge Road and this will be signed.
