MARKETING FOR THE SMALLER, NIMBLE BUSINESS

29th October 2007

Dr Paul Fifield, a world renowned marketing strategist, is to deliver a talk on marketing for smaller businesses in Inverness on November 15 at the invitation of The Chartered Institute of Marketing in Scotland (CIM).

Dr Fifield has over 30 years' experience in marketing and was a member of the CIM International Board of Trustees 2002-2004. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce (FRSA) and Visiting Professor at Southampton University School of Management.

The event will take place at the Craigmonie Hotel on the evening of Thursday 15 November and Alistair Murray, CIM Scotland director said: "We're delighted to be restarting the Master Class series after the summer break with a top speaker like Paul. I hope both old and new friends will be there"

Having just completed his fifth book on Marketing Strategy, directed at smaller, nimbler businesses, Dr. Fifield said: "Marketing Strategy always seems like something that larger organisations do, but smaller organisations need to be thinking about strategy too."

Joanne Blanusa, senior development manager of business transformation at Highlands and Islands Enterprise, added: "These Master Classes have a superb reputation for best practice knowledge sharing and networking. I'd advise all small businesses to come along on November 15."

The Master Class at the Craigmonie is expected to be another full house.
