La Mirage Restaurant In Helmsdale Up For Sale
27th October 2014
Celebrity favourite fish & chip restaurant brought to market.
Specialist property adviser Christie + Co is marketing the sale of La Mirage Restaurant & Takeaway, a quirky and highly regarded fish and chip restaurant in the Highlands.
Ideally positioned on the main street in Helmsdale, approximately 70 miles north of Inverness, the restaurant was famously a favourite of Dame Barbara Cartland and celebrity chef Clarissa Dickson Wright.
Offering excellent home cooked food in a unique atmosphere, La Mirage has the most incredible collection of weird and wonderful appurtenances, including palm trees, flying flamingos and mannequins.
La Mirage comfortably caters for up to 45 covers. The takeaway business is situated next door and is accessed as a separate shop.
The two and a half storey property also encompasses a spacious owner's accommodation, which is accessed via a separate entrance and briefly comprises a kitchen, lounge area, bathroom, two bedrooms and two further attic bedrooms.
Barry McNeil of Christie + Co's Edinburgh office is handling the sale. He comments: "The business has been in our clients hands since 2003 and has continuously performed at impressive trading levels. Our clients now wish to sell in order to consider their retirement."
