The Flow Country Peatlands - Tourism Familiarisation Event

2nd April 2016
The 2016 tourism season has started, and the Flows to the Future project would like to offer tourism businesses the opportunity to discover more about the project and how we hope to engage with visitors over the coming season. Therefore, if you are running a tourism business in Caithness and Sutherland, we would like to invite you to our familiarisation event about the Flow Country peatlands.
The event gives an overview of the fantastic peatland landscapes through a multimedia presentation and talks. After the buffet lunch you can take part in a guided visit to the RSPB Forsinard Flows National Nature Reserve where you will have the opportunity to visit the new Flows Lookout Tower on the Dubh Lochan Trail as well as the RSPB Visitor Centre. Meet the staff behind the Flows Project and the RSPB reserve and discover how we are working to promote the wildlife and landscape of the Flow Country to local communities and to a broad range of visitors.
The event is open to all businesses in the tourism sector; such as tour operators, Band Bs/Hotels, museums and restaurants.
