Temporary closure on B869 Lochinver - Drumbeg - Newton Road

There will be a temporary prohibition of traffic on the B869 Lochinver - Drumbeg - Newton Road later this month.

The lengths of road affected include the B869 Lochinver - Drumbeg - Newton Road, which will be closed from its junction with A894 Loch Assynt - Laxford Road to its junction with A836 Invershin – Lochinver Road.

To minimise disruption the works are planned to run in sections:

From the B869's junction with the A894 to its junction with U1135 Poldarroch Road, in Drumbeg, from 14 March to 25 March 2022.
From the B869's junction with U1135 Poldarroch Road, in Drumbeg to its junction with U1091 Stoer Church Road, from 21 March to 1 April 2022.
From the B869’s junction with U1091 Stoer Church Road to its junction with the A836, from 28 March to 8 April 2022.
To avoid the road closure an alternative route will be available via the A894 Loch Assynt - Laxford Road and the A836 Invershin – Lochinver Road.

The different colours on the map are important as the council will be closing the road in sections to minimise disruption.
