Extended Licensing arrangements for Scottish Cup Final
27th April 2010
Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross Divisional Licensing Board have recognised that The Scottish Cup Final between Ross County and Dundee United on the 15th May 2010 is a special event of local significance. They have decided to allow on-sales premises to remain open until 1am on Sunday 16th provided that the premises licence holder makes an application for extended hours. Applications, accompanied by a £10 fee, should be made no later than the 5th May.
The extension of hours will be of principal benefit to premises in Sutherland and Easter Ross which normally have to close by 12 midnight.
The decision was made in order to allow ample time for fans to return safely from Hampden Park and it is hoped that the extension will avoid a closing time rush for "last orders" and permit more leisurely drinking.
Application forms are available on the Highland Council website www.highland.gov.uk or from HC Service Points.
