CORE POLITICS LAUNCHES NEW ONLINE TV SERIES MEET THE MPs - Jame Stone
17th August 2017
From what our newest MPs did after winning their seat - to who they'd like to win Love Island - no subject is off limits.
Meet the MPs is an ambitious online series which will introduce the colourful new personalities who have recently joined Westminster's green benches following June's General Election.
New first 3-minute episodes will be released every Monday and Wednesday running all the way to conference season this autumn. The series will include interviews with Tan Dhesdi MP (Slough), Eleanor Smith MP (Wolverhampton South West), Preet Gill MP (Birmingham, Edgbaston), Jamie Stone MP (Caithness, Sutherland and Easter Ross), Paul Williams MP (Stockton South), Ben Bradley MP (Mansfield), Lee Rowley MP (North East Derbyshire), Douglas Ross MP (Moray), Luke Graham MP (Ochil and South Perthshire), Ruth George MP (High Peak), and many more to be announced soon.
Each episode features a quick-fire Q&A with an MP from the 2017 intake. Why is this different? In short, it is the questions that they weren't expecting (we weren't always expecting the answers that came back either). The episodes are fun and informal while also revealing more about the new voices in the Commons.
Series Producer, Rob Double, said:
"The episodes are fun, light-hearted and informal. The series hopes to show the public a human and personable side to their MPs while giving further insight into their politics and ambitions.
