New online forms on Council's website
Highland Council residents can now apply for Council Tax discounts and exemptions and report change of circumstances online with the launch of new online forms on the Council's website. The new forms allow customers to complete online rather than by paper when applying for council tax discounts/exemptions and to report changes that may impact on their council tax, housing benefit or council tax reduction.9/8/2010

Highland Hunting Lodge In Sutherland Set For Extensive Upgrade
A Victorian hunting lodge in Sutherland is to get a £1.5m facelift to allow a variety of uses including use as luxury accommodation and use for corporate events, thanks to a funding package including Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) together with the Big Lottery Fund. Community group The Assynt Foundation near Lochinver has been awarded £250,000 by HIE and £785,000 by the Big Lottery Growing Fund Community Assets towards a £1.5 million project to renovate Glencanisp Lodge.

Brackenside Self Catering Chalet Goes For Online Booking
A new web site created by Navertech for Lonie & Janet Mackintosh to advertise their self catering cottage at Achrimsdale near Brora has added a simple facitlity to check availability and make a booking online for some of their accommodation packages. The chalet, which sleeps up to six, is set in a beautiful part of the Scottish Highlands overlooking the Moray Firth with views as far as the Cairngorms.
